Privacy and texting terms
conventions.tattoo is run by waivers.tattoo (Tattoo Waivers LLC, a Texas company). This page says what we keep when you ask us for an email or a text, what it is for, and how to stop. Questions go to hello@waivers.tattoo.
What we keep
Your email. Your cell number, if you add one and check the box, with the time you checked it, the words you agreed to, the page you were on and your connection’s address, which is how a text consent is kept. The city and distance you picked, and the shows and artists you follow.
What it's for
Sending what you asked for: a note before a show near you, a reminder for a show on your calendar, an artist’s next booth. Nothing goes out that you did not ask for, and today the first of those emails is still being built, so what we keep is the list it will read.
Who sees it
conventions.tattoo, which is run by waivers.tattoo (Tattoo Waivers LLC, a Texas company). We don’t sell it, and we don’t hand it to a show. A show or a shop sees your details when you sign their waiver, which is its own form and its own record.
Your location
We guess your city from your connection to sort shows by distance, and we don’t keep the guess. If you tap Use my exact location, your browser asks you first, and the spot stays in your browser. What you pick stays in your browser too, until you clear it.
Texts
conventions.tattoo show alerts: texts about tattoo conventions near you, sent only if you add your cell and check the box. Message frequency varies. Msg and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. Carriers aren’t liable for late or undelivered messages. Consent isn’t a condition of anything.
How long we keep it
Until you stop, or until you ask us to remove it. A texting consent is kept for as long as the number is on the list, and for a year after, so we can show it was given if a carrier or a regulator asks.
Stopping
Every email will carry a one-click unsubscribe. Reply STOP to any text. Or turn things off on your Saved page, and write to hello@waivers.tattoo to have everything about you removed.
